This quote is adapted from Shakespeare’s 116th sonnet. It is one of his few sonnets that praises love and the power that it has! The original verse goes, “It [Love] is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken.”
It describes that love doesn’t waver in the face of great sorrow or tragedy, and it reminds me to be strong no matter what great tempest or storm comes my way.

I got it done at Stingray Body Art in Allston, MA. Clickthrough to their website! Chico did my tattoo, he was absolutely fantastic! Made me feel comfortable, had a great sense of humor, and did a precise and incredible job.

This is my paint-tree and I got it done shortly after I turned 18 two years ago. I get asked quite frequently if it’s a cherry blossom tree, and it’s not. It has a lot more meaning to it than it actually looks like. It is a self reflection of my life growing up verbally and physically abused and how I used art as my way of getting away from the pain I felt. The splattered effect is meant as an accidental splash on a page of my mothers life, because I wasn’t planned.

the phoenix means re-birth. i got this because i once had a surgery and had 50% chance of living. getting this means a lot to me since i got another shot at life. :)

I got this tattoo on my right wrist so that i will see it everyday. It is a constant reminder of how i want to live my life day by day. I want to be honest and true, and never fear what is ahead of me. 

It is also a dedication to the movie ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. It can be seen in the beginning of the movie marked on a tombstone.

My first. I got this tattoo about 6 months ago. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is easily one of my favorite books of all time. I have some serious issues with anxiety and the book really taught me a lot. Of course, this particular quote hit me in the face like a brick. I knew right then and there that this is what i wanted permanently on my body, right over my heart. I absolutely love it. It’s a constant reminder to always seek out the one thing that matters most. Infinity.

I started planning this tattoo when I was about 16 and started writing fiction stories and reading almost constantly. It morphed many times throughout planning before I finally fell in love with this design. I was going to have it say “I Cannot Live Without Books” a quote by Thomas Jefferson that I found at the Library of Congress, but once it was finished i decided against the words.
